Give to the Max Day is Thursday, Nov. 17

Give to the Max Day is this Thursday, November 17, and Our Father's humbly asks for your donation. This year, our goal is to keep it local by splitting all proceeds between two worthy causes:

ELCA Minneapolis Synod's New Mission Start-Up Fund: Half of your donation will be designated to the ELCA Minneapolis Synod's new mission start-up fund, supporting three budding ministries right here in Minnesota:

  • Tapestry, a bilingual ministry led by Pastor Melissa Melnick, gathers people across lines of race, class and culture. Tapestry worships at Oak Grove Lutheran Church in Richfield.
  • Intertwine Northeast, led by mission developer Mike Rusert, is connecting people in Northeast Minneapolis who are skeptical about church. Intertwine believes that sharing stories, questions and compassion can open people's hearts to the life-changing love of Jesus.
  • Tree of Life Lutheran is in the early stages of development, and strives to gather community in the fast-growing North Loop Area of downtown Minneapolis.

Learn more about these ministries and the ELCA new mission fund

OFLC: The other half of your donation will stay right here at Our Father's to benefit our home-grown ministries and outreach efforts. This includes programs like Sunday School, Engage & Confirm, VBS, Bible studies, Christian counseling and much more that help us show God's love in our community.

Let's embrace OFLC and these new churches and give them a boost of prayers and financial encouragement as they strike out share the love of Jesus right here in Minnesota!
