MEET PASTOR DANA!
Pastor Dana Peterson will be serving as Pastor here at OFLC as we form a transition team, and eventually, a call committee. He is a trained interim pastor and has developed and led a certification course for interim pastors in the Rocky Mountain Synod of the ELCA. He previously served as the Rocky Mountain Synod’s Assistant to the Bishop for Congregational Vitality and Director for Evangelical Mission where he worked with New Start and Strategic ministries, and with the RMS’s initiative called Vital Right-Shaped Ministry (VRSM), where he guided congregations to increase their vitality and shape their ministries for their future.
He leads workshops on Emotional Intelligence, and is certified as an “EQi 2.0” instructor and facilitator. In addition, he has been a non-profit executive coach since 2017.
He is founder of Fresh Thinking Coaching and Consulting, whose mission is to Inspire Leaders to Thrive, where he empowers people to discern, develop, and carry out their vision. Dana has helped many congregations realize their long-term goals as an experienced Capital Campaign Coach-Coordinator with both Fresh Thinking and the ELCA Mission Investment Fund’s Capital Campaign Services.
Ordained in 1984, Dana has served congregations in Colorado, Minnesota, and North Dakota.
