There is little more exciting in our faith life than welcoming a new soul into the family of GOD. Our Father’s Lutheran Church cherishes each celebration of Baptism we are invited to participate in.
In Holy Baptism, God liberates us from sin and death by joining us to the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Born children of a fallen humanity, in the baptismal waters we become God’s reborn children and inherit eternal life.
By water and the Holy Spirit we are made members of the Church, which is Christ’s body.
There is an instruction class that all families need to attend prior to each child’s Baptismal day.
Parents looking to have their children Baptized should contact the OFLC (763)477-6300.
As you may know, it’s a Lutheran practice to baptize infants. But wait, there’s more! We also welcome adults or older children for baptism! If you’re an adult who’s never been baptized or if you have an older child who hasn’t been baptized, we invite you to talk with Pr. Dana about baptism. You can reach him at [email protected], or call or text at 970-631-2417.
