Altar Committee

Volunteer

The Altar Guild prepares and maintains our sanctuary for Sunday worship and all special services.  This includes changing parliaments according to the church calendar, filling oil candles, laundering linens, decorating for special seasons, maintaining the nursery, and other responsibilities.  Altar Guild members fulfill their responsibilities on their own schedules, making this the ideal committee for those with busy and variable schedules.

Diane Mutterer

I live just outside of Rockford with my husband Paul and son Steven (8yo). We also have two older children Ben (24 yo) and Sarah (22 yo). This is my first year helping with the Sunday School program here at Our Father's Luthern Church but have five years experience teaching Sunday School at a church in Buffalo.

I believe very strongly that a good foundation in the church is an important anchor for our children as they find their way through life. Developing a strong program to encourage and interest children to learn about Christ is one of the most important things to do for our children and ourselves (we can always learn a thing or two from these wonderful stories). I look forward to a rewarding time working with the families of this wonderful congregation!
