Everyone as special gifts or talents they can share. You are invited to share these gifts and talents in ministry at Our Father's. Volunteering gives you an opportunity to meet and get to know others in our family. Whether it is in one area or several areas, it all helps to make Our Father's ministry grow and flourish.
Worship offers the opportunity to enhance the service with readers, communion assistants, acolytes, altar guild, ushers, greeters, the sound system crew and projector mentoring.
Music offers the opportunity to enhance the service by those who inspire to share their musical talents in choirs, special music, piano accompanists, instrumentalists, and vocalists.
Education offers the opportunities for working with children and youth by teaching Sunday School, confirmation mentors, Christmas program, Vacation Bible School, and adult education.
Youth offers the opportunity to help our young grow in they faith in God by assisting with youth events, service trips, and education.
Fellowship offers the opportunity to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ through fellowship with of the congregation and outreach into the community. Opportunities include assist with special events, River Days booth, annual carnival, and family activities.
As women of the ELCA we believe we are women created in the image of God, empowered by the Holy Spirit and called to be disciples of Christ by growing in faith, affirming each others gifts and callings to promote wholeness and healing in our church, society, and the world. Opportunities include annual rummage sale, cookie walk, soup suppers, and Women's Bible Study.
The Social Concerns keeps the congregation up to date on current social issues that may affect the members of the congregation as Christians. The ministry supports our community in outreach programs by carrying out God's work. Opportunities for serving are Meals on Wheels, Hanover Foodshelf, Love INC, Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota, ELCA World Hunger, Highway Pick-Up, and other service projects benefiting the community.
Buldings & Grounds oversee the care, maintenance, repair, protection, and replacement of all things related to the church building and the landscaping of the church grounds. Opportunities for serving spring/fall clean-ups, painting, lawn mowing, and general maintenance.
Leadership help guide and support the church. Opportunities for serving are on committees, council, special committees and task forces.
The church wouldn't run smoothly without the many people who provide office assistance. Opportunities for serving are Sunday & Wednesday office help, assemble bulletins & newsletters, and mailings.
